The DBC has closed Part Two; Thank You For the Support!

Sky

Last week I shared the painful story of closing the DreamBody Centre (DBC), and I have to say I’m positively overwhelmed with the support and encouragement I’ve received.  It’s very humbling.  Thank you to all those who’ve shown their support and patted me on the back.  You don’t know how much it means to me.

Below are some of the comments I’ve been receiving on the blog, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter:

Hi Suhail, Read through it to the end. Congratulations on having done something not all people have the courage to do. Congratulations on building and running DBC sustainably for as long as you did. Thank you for having the courage to share this. Your faith will inshallah bring you bigger better results in Saudi Arabia.

– Jennifer Yakub

I never attended the DBC but I heard good things about it. Wish you all the best on your new endeavour and don’t forget that what does not kill you makes you stronger .

– Miss Hard Work

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Suhail. I was a member of DBC. It was the highlight of my stressful day. The idea of spending only 23 min yet working out your body from head to toe was a dream come true. I was devistated when I heard the news. I must confess, I got so pissed and angry at you. I used to read all your inspiring and encouraging emails which you sent out on a weekly basis.. and then when you suddenly closed down I felt like all the emails you sent were just blabberings and lies.. But soon I realized the tough decision you had to take due to the horrible economic situation in the market. I so wish you succeed in Saudi and be able to reopen DBC in Bahrain again. It was a unique place like no other.

Wish you all the best. God bless.

– Ayat

Bro, what you just did is an inspiration to all of us, it is easy to celebrate success but it’s the brave of us who admit failure. I know these words are no concelation but I think I know you well enough that I am confident that the BDC will be resructed even bigger and better as your energy and passion is behind it. All the best for the future. Never give up…

– Alaa

Suhail thanks for sharing your experience, you’re a brave outstanding entrepreneur and sincerely wishing you all the best for any future innovative plans

– Yosr Fareed

Many of internationally successful people failed several time before making it! You may lost a business but I’m sure that you gained a lot of experience that would definitely help you in future. Wish you the best.

– Mahmood

I love your attitude. Wishing you much success in future endeavours.

– Arthur Dsouza

Hi Suhail.. fellow entreprenuer.. I was in this situation twice, and hard to say, it might be also close on my third business that i built also 9 years ago. all of my businesses were built from scratch, risking everything i owned plus time and effort and comfort over the business.. word are not enough to describe how i feel too to make ends meet. I wish u all the best..

– Aseel Almuhandis

Reading this from the comfort of my seat is not comfortable, I felt every letter you wrote and tried to put my self in your shoes, very heavy .. I really wish you all the best and wish your team the same, consider this as part of the learning process in life and definitely God will open walls not only a window..

Keep your head up and your moral and spirit high, it will pass and better things will come soon..

– Anas Kamaluddin

Its really sad to hear this Suhail. To be honest, there was once a time when i, myself wanted to work at DBC. It was amazing how the team members worked hard and used to enjoy their work. In Shaa All DBC will rise again soon !

Good luck brother!

– Daniyal Mir

Its sorry to know DBC had to close down in Bahrain. Its indeed painfull to disintegrate the team who worked so hard. Insha Allah it will come back with a bang first in saudi and then other GCC countries. All the best for that plus to spearhead Falak!!

– Dinesh Dhume

Thank you for writing this. It takes courage. You did what you could, leave the rest to ALLAH.

– Khalil J. Al Hamad

Very sad news, it was a pioneering concept in the weight-loss industry. I am always impressed with the way you market your services and your attention to details. Anyways, never give up and it was a learning experience and maybe it would have had to be very successful in different times and circumstances. Best of luck with Falak consulting..

– Salman Abdulla

I have so much respect for you for openly and transparently sharing your experience and for setting an example for the community to accept and talk about failed attempts! This is so much needed. The concept might have failed but you have gained priceless experience we should learn from. Thank you!

– Ahmed AlSawafiri

suhail, i feel for you and i am sure something new and better will come your way. wishing you the best.

– Fayza Mohamed Amin

Being a mini serial entrepreneur I can completely relate to your thoughts and feelings… Having seen your value systems and passion of doing what is right, I am absolutely convinced you will turn Falak Consulting into a truly world class global outfit… All the very best and wish you all the best in keeping your faith to create DBC v2.0

– Subhashis Nath

Takes lot of guts to acknowledge ground realities and come to terms with the change. All the best @SuhailAlgosaibi

– @eBizSols_BH

One hell of a read! Personal and raw.

– @TheTomCarter

I did not expect these kinds of responses, and I certainly did not expect the blog post to go as viral as it did.  It’s nice to know I’m not alone.

To all those who showed their support either online or offline, thank you thank you thank you!  I really appreciate it.

God bless you all.

However much of a loss it may feel for you at the time, the bigger loss is for Bahrain when forward thinking entrepreneurs need to look towards other markets.

      Thank you Talal.

To add to all that ; rest assured , your work has not ended or died at all! I am the owner and the managing director of reps fitness studio. My place wouldn’t have grown or been created without an inspirational person and a successful business as DBC to learn from.

We are following your steps and we hope with everything we have learned from you and are still learning ; our businesses grow and succeed as you are.
