Synchronicity and The Mystery Woman “Josephine.”

I haven’t written about Synchronicity in a while, so as a refresher it’s a term originally created by Carl Jung to describe the meaningful coincidences that occur in one’s life. (See previous posts here and here).

So the other day I woke up with the name “Josephine” in my head. I have no idea why, but I could vaguely recall that that was the name of Napoleon Bonaparte’s wife. I told my wife about it at breakfast. During breakfast my wife and daughter start talking about the new chapter book she was given to read for Arabic class. I look at the cover and it turns out the author’s first name is Josephine! Interesting, I thought.

Later in the day, I’m going through my LinkedIn app on my iPhone, and stumble across some old messages, the first of which is from someone named “Josephine” selling her company’s services. Hmm… we happen to need what she’s selling.

Later in the day, My wife opens the new book she bought by a Kuwaiti author, and there on the first page, is the central character’s mother’s name; Josephine.

For days I’ve been thinking about it, wondering if there was more to all of this. Someone then suggested to look up the meaning of the name. It turns out it means “The Lord increases”.

Maybe someone’s trying to tell me something.

Interesting, no?
